# Service health

Check API availability and report an outage with useful details.

## Health

Use these public checks to distinguish basic service availability from a failed media job. Neither requires authentication or a body.

| Method | Route | Meaning |
| ------ | ----- | ------- |
| GET | `/health` | The API process responds. |
| GET | `/health/ready` | `200` when the service is ready for work, otherwise `503`. |

```bash
curl --fail-with-body 'https://api.mediafilez.online/api/v1/health/ready'
```

Readiness does not test whether a particular source URL can be downloaded. A healthy service can still report a failed job for deleted, restricted, or unavailable media.

## Report an outage

If the service remains unavailable, send [support@mediafilez.online](mailto:support@mediafilez.online) the approximate time, endpoint, and HTTP status. Include a `requestId` if one was returned. Remove credentials and private download URLs from the report.
